High School & College Guidance

Snowflake High School’s Guidance Office is devoted to helping all of our students succeed.

We are here to help with any questions or concerns you may have about your classes and school activities as well as any worries or troubles in school or your personal life. We are also here to help you plan for your future career and college goals.

We help guide your class schedules to make sure you find classes that match your interests and challenge you, while also making sure you are taking the classes you need to graduate. We also help make sure you have the courses you may need for the colleges or trade schools you may want to attend after graduation.

The Guidance Office is also your go-to place for information on academic testing, college and career planning, and finding scholarships and financial aid.

We want parents and students to feel free to come and talk to us anytime while you are at Snowflake High School. We are here for you.

Guidance Counselors Tips and News

Registration for New Students:

If your student is new to Snowflake Unified School District, you may go to our Registration page to print enrollment forms, or contact the guidance office at extension 7521 if you need an enrollment packet. Birth certificate, immunization records, and proof of residence are required in order to enroll. If you are able to bring your student’s transcript from their previous school (those enrolling in grades 10-12), it will speed up the process of registering them in the correct classes. Otherwise, we will request transcripts from their previous school, and their counselor will complete their schedule when we know what classes they need. If the student(s) will be living with a relative who is not their guardian, you must fill out and notarize the temporary guardianship document. Also, if the student will not be living in our school boundaries, but will attend Snowflake High School, you must fill out and return an open enrollment form. If you have any questions about this process, please contact our office.

Registration for Existing Students:

Great things are happening at Snowflake High School! Class registration and all fee payments are now online! Starting July 25, 2018, student schedules and fees will be available at your convenience so that you may print them out or pay your fees. Students will review their schedules through Family Link and log on to the registration website using their Family Link user name and password. We have sent detailed information about the online registration process and step-by-step instructions to every SHS family, so keep an eye out for that! If there are any schedule concerns, please call the guidance office at extension 7521 to schedule an appointment with your student’s guidance counselor. In order to cut down on registration wait times, guidance counselors will be seen by appointment only .

We are looking forward to another great school year! As always, please contact the Snowflake High School office with any questions or concerns!
