ATTENDANCE REQUIREMENTS FOR GRADUATION

To participate in graduation and senior trip all CPs (Credit Pending grades) must be resolved before graduation day.

Don't Wait to Fix CPs

  • Students are strongly encouraged to resolve CPs during the semester immediately after they are earned. Taking care of them early reduces stress and helps ensure you stay on track for graduation.

If You Reach Senior Year with CPs

  • Students who still have CPs during their final semester may still be able to resolve them through:

    • Detentions

    • Friday School

  • Students who do not resolve all CPs before graduation may not be allowed to participate in the graduation ceremony.

Senior Trip and End-of-Year Absences

  • Students participating in the senior trip will have those absences excused and they will not count against attendance requirements. Students must have their CPs fixed before going on the senior trip.

  • Students who are not attending the senior trip but plan to miss school during the final week should first check with their Assistant Principal (AP) to ensure they can afford the absences.

Important: Unexcused absences late in the semester could result in a CP being placed on your transcript with little or no time remaining to resolve it before graduation. This could prevent you from walking with your graduating class.

If you have questions about your attendance status, contact your Assistant Principal before making plans to miss school.
