DISTRICT ATTENDANCE POLICIES & INFORMATION
Students and parents have many questions about the SHS attendance policies, as we are a credit based high school. Therefore, it looks a little different from what it may have in the K-8 schools they attended prior to enrolling in SHS. We follow all of the state guidelines and have developed ways to help all students be accountable to the important life lesson of being on time and present. The state of Arizona, in ARS 15-803, requires students to be in their seats 90% of the time to receive credit in that class. SHS has already done the math. This is why our policies are as specific as they are.
